GEORGIA EGG ASSOCIATION ELECTS OFFICERS The Georgia Egg Association has re-elected its officers and directors for the organization’s 2010-2011 fiscal year. Scott Horton of Crystal Farms in Gillsville, Georgia will serve another term as the group’s president. First vice president is Danny Beckham, Cal-Maine Farms, Shady Dale, GA. Second vice president is Brent Booker, Country Charm Eggs, Gillsville. Treasurer is Gijs Schimmel, Centurion Poultry, Lexington. One year directors are: KY Hendrix, Rose Acre Farms, Seymour, Indiana; Jim Hull, American Egg Products, Blackshear; Shannon Burasco, CWT Farms, Gainesville; Tom Oliver, Chestnut Mountain Egg Farm, Chestnut Mountain, GA; and Jack Watford, J-Wat Enteprises, Headland, Alabama. Three year directors are: David Aldridge, Triple A Farms, Monticello; Tim Floyd, Lathem Farms, Pendergrass; Larry Thomason, Thomason Egg Farm, Calhoun; David Lathem, Lathem Farms, Pendergrass; and Dennis Hughes, United Egg Marketers, Blackshear, GA. Advisors to the Association’s board are Dr. Mike Lacy and Dr. Bruce Webster of the University of Georgia’s Poultry Science Department. |
